The following is a list of available products...beginning with the BaGwa instructional book, "The Sun Style of BaGwaChang;" then followed with 3 instructional, 2 hour (information packed) BaGwa videos. The book describes in great detail the basic, "Old Palms" form as taught by Sun Lu Tang. The older method was performed around a circle. In Sun's variation, the trigram directions where added with linkages. Though more important are the included discriptions of selected basics, exercises and partner drills (often overlooked or forgotten today). BaGwa #1, a 2 hour video, teaches Yin Fu / Gong Bao Tien / Gong Bao T'sien's pre-Heaven poisen pen form, in its bare-hand variant, "BaGwa Shui Chang," (Eight Trigram Water Palm). The other form is one of Fu Chen Sung's, original versions of his BaGwa Yang Palm solo exercise. Note that these forms have not been "wushuized." They consist of precision footwork with proper body mechanics, conforming with fighting principles. English only, NTSC or PAL. BaGwa #2, another 2 hour video mainly deals with partner training. It is a discussion with many examples of BaGwa partner drills. BaGwa #3, again a 2 hour video deals with more advanced partner training with a number of simpler forms, and basic stretching. All 3 videos are precise and easy to follow. Basic exercises, stances, blocks and applications are included. Note that only quality instructional material is sold from this site. This is the real BaGwa: circular, practical and highly effective in self-defence. |
